Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, begin exploring Hargeisa, the vibrant capital of Somaliland. Start your city tour at the Civil War Memorial, followed by a visit to the bustling Central Market and local money exchange area. Continue to the Hargeisa Cultural Centre to discover local art, history, and heritage. After some rest, enjoy a relaxed walk through the city center to experience the daily life and atmosphere of Hargeisa. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner, accompanied by traditional Somali music and dance (subject to availability). Overnight stay at Damal Hotel or similar.
In the early morning, visit the bustling Livestock Market, a key part of Somaliland’s economy and daily life. Continue your journey to Laas Geel, one of Africa’s most significant prehistoric rock art sites, featuring remarkably well-preserved paintings estimated to be over 10,000 years old. En route, stop to meet local nomadic families, offering a unique insight into traditional Somali pastoral culture.
Proceed to the coastal city of Berbera and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, relax along the beach, enjoy a swim at sunset, or take part in optional activities such as snorkeling, diving, or a boat ride.
