Day by day

Itinerary

Begin your Mogadishu city tour with a drive along Makka Al-Mukarama Road, one of the city’s main avenues. Stop for photos at the Arco Trionfo Monument and the Ahmed Gurey Statue.

Explore the Mogadishu Fish Market, one of the city’s most fascinating attractions. Experience the lively atmosphere as fishermen bring in their fresh catch and locals gather around the market, offering a unique insight into Mogadishu’s coastal lifestyle.

Visit the Mogadishu Lighthouse, an iconic landmark overlooking the Indian Ocean, and admire the nearby Italian Colonial Architecture. Continue past the Former U.S. Embassy, a historic site reflecting Mogadishu’s modern history.

Drive through Shangani Old City, one of the oldest districts of Mogadishu, and experience its historic streets and local neighbourhoods.

Continue to Lido Beach, the city’s most popular seaside destination. Enjoy a short boat ride, walk along the beach, and interact with local people while experiencing the vibrant coastal atmosphere.

Visit the Monument of the Unknown Soldier (Daljirka Dahsoon) and Mogadishu Mall in Hamarweyne. Enjoy coffee at a rooftop café with views of the Mogadishu Cathedral Ruins, Arch of Umberto I, and Arba’a Rukun Mosque, and visit Peace Park.
